Thinking of getting married by or on the beach? here's a few things to consider:
1. Time of year? I personally would only plan a Georgian bay beach wedding for July or August. We get some crazy weather up here. I have seen it 8 degrees in June and below that the beginning of September. That being said think about comfort and yes warmth.
2. Wind? Yes, we also get lots of wind. Looks great in pictures when you choose a dress with lighter floaty fabric such as lace, chiffon, taffeta etc. for the wind to blow around.
3. Train or No Train? Remember you are going to be outside, your dress will get dirty! But, I always say you only wear it once so wear it well.
4. Strapless? For this one I would recommend a corset type bodice. The reason being I have seen many dresses not fit right on the day of the wedding including my own. With a corset back you can make sure it will be just right.
5. Colour? if you plan on looking nice and tanned on your wedding day think about other colours then white. White has a lot of blue undertones in it making it not as flattering to tanned or dark skin.
6.Jacket and/or Cover-Up? Think about the evening as well. Some times the temperatures do like to dip down or a cooler wind starts to blow off the bay once the sun goes down.
